Tammy VB
I love working with stripes and tried my Rope Tool on this quilt's inner and outer borders. One side works for 1 1/2" and the other for 3" border. I really liked the effect it had and will attempt sending a picture. I'm experimenting with Picasa. It may work, it may not.......... anniemueller
I like the rope effect, and I love what you're doing in the center. It's got great texture with the background filler and the puffy batt. I really like the cc's and radiating lines in the light green squares. Primitive1
It also appears that you have a seam ripper poised and ready, I don't think you'll need it!
Tammy VB
The ruler is called the Rope Tool by Quilter's Rule. The background fill is just pebble with a swirl. Yes, my seam ripper is my friend, I find that I need it less and less anymore, I think all that PPP is starting to pay off!!

LibbyG
Tammy, Everything looks wonderful! What type batting are you using? Would you draw a picture of the background fill so I can see how you did it?
Tammy VB
Libby, I believe I used QD Wool, that and the Dream Puff are my absolute favorites. I'm using the Puff on my current quilt and it seems to give the same loftiness. I don't know how to post drawing for the background fill but I'll see if I can post a better pic that shows the swirls better. It's just swirls with open centers. Hope this helps. cmkeindl1
This is beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing, since I'm quilting with a "double batt" and have stabilized some and was very worried about how "puffy" the seams look! Your's looks great! I'm trimming the batting from the edges cuz when I roll the quilt back and forth it is SO thick?! I hope it looks somewhat like yours!
Heritage Keepsakes
Your quilting is so beaufitul to look at. Could you please post a photo of the entire quilt when it's done so we can all see the finished result, because these pictures here tell us we're in for some serious eye candy!
