KathyA
Donna - can't help myself. Why are you in the attic? and Welcome to the forum. It's a great place for building friendships and learning.
QuiltFaerie
I would have to guess that Donna has a most wonderful sewing area up there. Hey, I could be Gail - in the Basement. Nah, doesn't have the same ring to it.
ffq-lar
Linda in the garage/outbuilding that used to store the lawnmowers?? Guess not! Also, Donna's posts say she is trying to sell her machine--I suspect she is already very accomplished.
dixieqwv
This is Donna's place http://donnasintheattic.typepad.com/donnas_in_the_attic/ And I'm pretty sure she bought a new machine ...
ramona-quilter
Linda in the Living Room so son & wife could take the 2nd master (where all the good light is, sigh) The living room is not bad, though. Roomy but temporary. I want Debbi Treusch's walk out basement studio in Des Moines. Maybe Santa can make that happen. Love Donna's blog.
VictoriaG
Gail We are not in the basement. We are Underground!!!. (More secretive?) I might be willing to trade for an attic though:) Ok checking the link... This is Donna's place http://donnasintheattic.typepad.com/donnas_in_the_attic/ I could handle a window, treadle machine and the music!! vg
Mary Beth
How about Mary Beth the cellar dwellar Nope, doesn't sound as good as Donna in the attic. Linda Card...you are a hoot...you just cannot forget about Debbi's walk-out basement. Hey, that house in my neighborhood that we walked up to look at is still for sale....maybe they reduced the price

Lots of space even if it isn't the most glamorous. I would trade in a minute for a nice work space where I could see the sun. This time of year, I feel like a mole. That's what I call mine...the Cave or Dungen (I too am underground)....its so dark down there that if I don't have ALL the lights on you can't even seen....someday I will have sky lights and loads of windows with a view...and enough places to stash everything. VictoriaG
But those of us in the underground, caves and dungeons are NOT black light challenged. And that is the brighter side (pun intended) of working in the basement. vg

Neher-in-law5
I'm in the "tower". The loft master bedroom of an A-frame. We just got a couple of skylights a couple years ago and it sure made a difference. Otherwise I had a tower cave!
