Bonnie
My fail safe patterns seems to be a "Yellow Brick Road", " Rail Fence of some sort" or a " Star" of some sort they are all easy and quick and depending on your fabrics, they go together very fast, and you can make them whatever season you want them to be..... Sherri
Yellow Brick Road is a good one. I also really like the "Lucky Star" pattern by Terry Atkinson.....would post a picture, but I am picture posting challenged. You might google it, tho.....it's been around a few years. Goes together super fast and is easy.

quiltaholi_518
Funny you were talking about this as this was on the machine. I feel like having a fruit salad tonight for dinner... Not anything special with the quilting, but a timely addition to the topic!

Boni
You wouldn't have to put this one on point, and if you chose bright summer fabrics, it goes together really fast. I cut the border in waves, like scalloped. I'm planning one in yellow/blue/white. No pattern, just a nine-patch and alternating plain block.
