Boni
I just had to show off what I've been doing for my fall quilt. I added some blocks to my collection. Can you imagine how I'm going to quilt this? :P <embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://picasaweb.google.com/s/c/bin/slideshow.swf" width="288" height="192" flashvars="host=picasaweb.google.com&hl=en_US&feat=flashalbum&RGB=0x000000&feed=http%3A%2F%2Fpicasaweb.google.com%2Fdata%2Ffeed%2Fapi%2Fuser%2Fbonniesews%2Falbumid%2F5370359197391841697%3Falt%3Drss%26kind%3Dphoto%26authkey%3DGv1sRgCKeE-4fumKbIgQE%26hl%3Den_US" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"></embed>
LadyLake
Bonnie, I like the squirrel and yellow star -- both unusual blocks! Where did you get the quilt pattern? Can you post a close-up of the yellow and white star? Your quilt is wonderful -- I love samplers; they are my favorite! Joan
sewlinzi
That's lovely... we should do more seasonal quilts here in the UK!

Joan If you click on the slideshow, it will take you to my Picasa album. I wrote credits for all the blocks and you can see close-ups when you click on the individual pictures. I was inspired to do the squirrel by Abigail, she made a squirrel block for the exchange. I used a clip art, traced the squirrel and made the applique, used a nut out of the fabric, etc. (BTW--thank you Abby for the idea and offer to make one.) The yellow/white star I think you are speaking of is a Kansas City Star block. Edie McGinnis' book The Sister Blocks. It's called Golden Glow. I still have lots of building to do on this quilt. My 30's quilt will be finished first even though I'm multi-tasking and working on both at the same time. It's that ADHD thing I have--worse than a 4 year old. Quilting Heidi
Patty Jo I couldn't see it at work but I can at home. Not sure why it didn't work at work but I'm guessing my server blocked it for whatever reason. Boni great blocks and your quilt is going to be great! Hollyrw
Wow, I didn't see the whole layout earlier. I really like it. I set my extra prototype blocks like you have your center, but I've already put a border on it. I may just have to take it apart. And I totally get the ADHD thing. I made a resolution to work start to finish on at least a few projects this year, but it's hard.

IBQLTN2
thats great Boni I love the 4 corner blocks that you added and the extra tree's that you made as well. It all seems to blend together perfectly. Looks like you are to first to get the top designed anyway. Sure wish I had more time to play with mine but right now I am swamped at work and at home. I need a STAYCATION. Sure would be nice. Love what you have done with your blocks so far and yes your mini slide show is fancy shmancy for sure. PattyJo
Now I can see the 2nd picture. Still can't see the 1st one, but I've been fiddeling with some of my security settings, so I may have caused my problems. The tree blocks look great. Can't wait to see it finished. Boni
awwwwww Picasa makes it easy! I didn't even know that if you have a Google account, and if you build a BLOG, it automatically sets up a Picasa account and stores all your pictures in an album. It's amazing what this internet thing can do. It's all free too! I like that. And Picasa has no advertising like Webshots has. It's a quiet sort of web-album. Thanks for all the comments. I feel encouraged and energized to charge on and get 'er done. Patty Jo, I'm sorry you can't see it--in that first post, I embedded a slide show from the Picasa album.
