meg
i have just turned off lola for the day and while i was playing with her i wondered what was everyone's favorite (translation-most forgiving when it comes to stitch quality) batting? update - lola is up and running and a dream come true for me! LadyLake
Hobbs 80/20 is a good all-around batting.
Quilting Heidi
My preferred batting is quilters Dream Puff or Wool. Bad news is their machine is down right now so it might be hard to find. My next favorite is their dream poly. Hobbs works too but it is not my favorite. I have gotten batting pokies with it several times and that didn't make me happy! It is also thinner than the QD that I use. I want to get some of the QD bamboo, it feels wonderful. Primitive1
My favorite is also QD wool and select. I love the loft and definition it gives to my quilting. I have had pokies with Warm and Natural and my least favorite is anything that is so thin you can put your fingers through it when you try to move it... Gator
I only use QD, love all of it. Another factor in my choice is that I'm 5-10 minutes from their office/warehouse.
lcquilting
I've only used Hobbs 80/20 and Poly. But I'd like to expand my batting choices a little. I want something similiar to Hobbs 80/20 but heavier. What do you all suggest since we're talking batting here. Would wool be my next choice? Chocoholic
I am with Connie. Only use QD and I am about as far away as you can get from them and still be in the continental US!
dancing bear
so where can a dancing bear order this QD that everyone is talking about? Twirl and glide ... twirl and glide and bow.
Stagecl
I don't like some of the QD products. I prefer Hobbs and Warm 'n Natural. My suggestion is try a few batts of QD before you buy a roll so you know what you like and what you don't. Most LS carry QD batts in packages. quiltmonkey
Warm and Natural is a good standby, but if I really want a nice quality cotton batting I like Quilter's Dream cotton. For a poly batting, I really like the Soft n Brite by the Warm Co. It's a great batting! And, Hobbs is good too. I also LOVE wool batting. It's my all time favorite. So lucious and soft.
