Please look out for the Brits at Road 2 Ca!

Hey Linzi - My daughter is probably going to the show. What is she looking for? Can you send a picture of the quilts? She is not a quilter but is going with someone. Last year there were many, many quilts. I get to go next year cause we're moving out there in June. YEA!!!!

I usually go every year, but, this year we will be in San Diego bbsitting our granddaughter from Thurs. thru Monday. Ferret has a large article in a current issue and the Phoenix is featured. It is a beautiful quilt. Linzi, would love to see a picture of your quilt.

I know that Meg Marsh is going. Maybe she can get pictures.

Thanks!!

Janette - the centre was an old UFO and the rest got added in about 4 SOLID weeks ready for a gallery at FOQ09 that was cancelled at the last minute. I had to fulfill the criteria - use a piece of pink and orange Princess Mirah, and make it exactly 70 x 90" on a log cabin theme.

There are 2 layers of Dream Puff, miles of neon thread and lots of painted echoes and shells.

The Forum named it "Linzi in the Sky with Diamondz" and I thought that it would enjoy the California air... I will meet up with it again at MQX.

I did also entered Bad Rain

but it didn't make the grade. It's a shame as I thought this show was it's best fit. I might try it again next year. If I can get the shipping issues sorted out.

I'd love to see pictures of them hanging there. Unless I can find a way to insure the quilts in transit with low customs values on them this might have to be the last US show I enter. I can

t keep risking the quilts and the shows want them shipped in a way that means the courier won't pay out if anything happens to the quilts in transit.

I will be there Friday and Saturday and will try my best to take pictures. Beautiful and stunning quilts by the Brits I must say.

I have to do 2 hours of White Glove duty. Cotton Patch Quilters of Kern County (my guild) is selling raffle tickets for our Opportunity Quilt on Saturday.

I am so thrilled, I've heard that the Phoenix is hung so the front and the back show, and that it got a really good location. If you see it please can you photograph the back as well as the front for me.

I'd love a picture that showed the location too if at all possible.
