DoryJM
Have any of you tried this for when you're sitting at your DMs or the computer? I sat on one briefly to try it out and it really did feel comfortable. I'm thinking of buying one, but I was curious whether any of you had an opinion. lisae
Hi, Dory, I have one, but it is a different brand...and half the price! I love it. I use it in my sewing chair and I always take it with me to retreats! Check it out here: http://www.isokineticsinc.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=isokinetics&Product_Code=ac35&Category_Code=
TAQuilts
I thought I'd love it, but can only sit on it for about 1/2 hr then my back begins to hurt. I've had back surgery so this may be the real issue with using this. Terry
DoryJM
Lisa, that is the one I was originally looking for but didn't know what it was called! Thanks!! I'm probably going to give it whirl. Terry, I've had 2 surgeries and am doing everything possible to avoid a third, hope this helps...or at least doesn't hurt!
Rita
First time I've seen this -looks like a Croc for the hiney! Rita
Quilting Heidi
LOL when I saw the picture the first thing that popped into my mind was it was a squishy for the tooshie (can't spell to save my life tonight but you know what I mean).
Sparkle
My friend Pat brings her's to retreat---and I borrowed it for an hour or so, but my back hurt afterwards. Plus I felt like I was going to tip over out of the chair. I know it's supposed to be good for your posture, tush and balance.
lisae
Dory, I sit on one of their ball chairs at work, too. My back REALLY hurts when I have to sit in a regular chair!
LaurieG
I'm sitting on one now! It's on the chair here at my computer. It can be kind of fun....
lisae
Just be aware that your back WILL hurt at first because your muscles are getting used to it. They suggest you use it for a few minutes at a time at first.
DoryJM
I have a ball chair and I love it; unfortunately, its not high enough to be able to use while typing:( It is fun to sit on though!
Stagecl
Dory, I just looked at the website, at the ball chairs, and there were height adapters for the chair. I think the cost was $10 plus shipping.
DoryJM
Thanks, Cheryl..I didn't see those. I'm gonna go check it out!
MoeMoe
We use ours as a back support vs a seat cushion... and yes, ... my husband loves it, too!!!
annaquilts
I have one and love it. I have lower back issues, and it really helps. Good luck, Dory, hope it helps.
IBQLTN2
I just got one recently and so far I just love it, no sore back problems at all. I have not had any back surgeries or anything like that just old bones!! LOL
Guest Linda S
I just got home from retreat and a bunch of the gals had them there. They seemed to like them. I've had a spinal fusion, so I sit on a Back Joy. It really helps me (recommended by my cousin who is a nurse). Between that and my Homedics Shiatsu back massager, I was in heaven at the retreat! CWBowser
I have one I got at Target. I was at a class with Carol Taylor and she had one. I tried it and was able to sit taller and sew easier. I think that it also helps with balance. There is a DVD that goes with it. You will find it in the exercise/sporting goods section of Target with the Yoga mats, weights and balance balls.
