LindaJ
Hi Everyone, We're adding a couple more tracing templates to our website. Template 21 is called Block Party, and is used for trimming various sizes of square blocks. This template works nicely in conjunction with spiros, or other template designs. The second template is the Feather Spine. This double sided template helps you make precise spines for your freehand feather borders. There are three sizes of traditional curved spines, and also three sizes of Amish Curl. (Thanks Kristina for the inspiration). Please check them out on our website, www.quiltazoid.com. Thanks, Linda and Adam [/img]

GrandmaLKB
I had checked the website yesterday and then wrote to Linda & Adam asking when more new templates might be coming. She wrote back and said they just posted them on the website and on this forum ! Sooooo, I had to place my order this morning. So hard as there are so many choices. I did order the Long Arm Adapter. Anxious to try that out.
TerriVB
LOVE the Block Party--and great name by the way!!!! I can see lots of ways to use it--maybe around some applique blocks, in the plain alternating block, on point in the setting triangles--or definitly the spiros like you said!! This will be definitly be a useful tool in my toolbox!!

blair8904
dkj, I use the bead board and set it on the diagonal. I hate to sound uninformed, but what is the long board adapter?
Zora
It is a longer arm that extends from the machine head to the QZ..(the arm that has the stylus on it), and an arrangement for mounting the long pattern boards to the QZ mechanism. So, essentially, you can use the long pattern boards on the QZ, from the front of the machine with the benefit of only having to purchase one board, rather than a set of three or four if you used them along the table at the back of the machine. Quilting Heidi
Barbara, The longer board adapter is a base that attaches to the round QZ base and you use it for the longer boards like Lynn said. You would also have to use the longer arm but you can stitch a 24" board. Stop with needle down and move the QZ forward. Works great.
TerriVB
Deb--you can go to the QZ website-- www.quiltazoid.com --or there is a post on this chat under the Quiltazoid heading that has a wealth of great information. http://www.apqs.com/quiltboard/viewthread.php?tid=23850 You are more than welcome to ask any questions that you might have--the QZ is a great and useful product.I use it at least once a week on my customer quilts. plally
Can anyone tell me if the long board templates should be fastened onto the stainless steel plate (the long arm adapter)?. I know the smaller templates are attached by means of a thumb screw but I don't see any holes in the long board templates.
Beachside Quilter
Pauline: Some of the boards have small holes and can be screwed to the base plate. For those that don't you can use small clamps and just clamp the template to the base plate. Be sure to do a test run of your entire template to ensure that the arm isn't hitting your clamps. Good luck!
plally
Thanks, Vicki. I will try the clamps.
