anniemueller
My friend designed it. I've got it in a different color way to quilt. The center is a pieced star with a circle in the middle. The quilt top is about 30" square. How would you quilt it? Looking for any and all ideas, wacky or sane. All I've come up with so far is small fillers in the different circles and rays. Thanks! UPDATE: The pattern for this is now available at Stitch N Time in Jackson. http://www.stitchntimeinc.com/shop/QUILT-PATTERNS/PATTERNS.htm It's an advanced paper piecing project....not for the feint of heart:P:P

Littleshoes
Wow! What a pretty thing! I don't have any suggestions, but can't wait to see what you do with it.
LauraJ
Awesome and would love to buy the pattern! The columns going down the sides make the eye go towards the center. I'd do something that accents that. Can't wait to see what you do.
Sandra Darlington
WOW! But, sorry, I can't think outside of the box just now. I've been doing lots of Civil War quilts, so my brain is only thinking very traditional. I think this needs something more "Linzi style." Perhaps she'll see your post and comment. sewlinzi
I'd do a combo of bubbles and chevrons, letting them take it in turns up the stripes. I LOVE that quilt, the optical illusion is super - it would be great fun to do!
Quilting Heidi
That is a really cool quilt. I'd try to make sure I kept the 3 d effect. I think to do that I would do a dense stipplish kind of pattern (pebbles, loops, stipple, really whatever just dense) in the floral fabric. I would do some 1/4" or 1/2" straight lines going down in toward the center of the quilt. I can't wait to see what you do with it.
anniemueller
Ta Da! It took 2nd Place Pieced in the Hoffman Challenge. Thank you to all who gave me quilting ideas. I did incorporate them and it is much better for it.
