bobbi
So, My sister turned 70! Yikes! She's a very talented art quilter... We had a blast in Paducah! It was kinda our dream trip. This weekend is our family reunion in St. Louis... It's 3 days of fun, culminating with our version of "Saturday night live..." I'm going to present this quilt to her for her birthday... Nobody makes a quilter a quilt, so I thought I would! It's a novelty quilt, a "snapshot" of her 70 years that includes pics of our grandparents, kids, family, even our senior pics. Each block has meaning for her life... I will attach the quilt legend too... I had a lot of fun with it... enjoy!

bobbi
I have to say that USE GOOD photo fabric, I used some cheap stuff from wallyworld, and it's deteriorating! I've had to appliqué proper ones on to save the pics! The cheap stuff was plasticky and it peels off...

bobbi
Gosh thanks everybody!!! It was a bit odd for me to make as I only knew what the blocks would be, and the photo roll sashing... Nothing fit so I just kept adding pieces and squaring up as I did... It's amazingly close to square! She does quilt talks at the schools and various groups, so she'll have a "story" quilt to add to her repertoire. I sure love my sister(s)!
