I've only done the basket-weave once a couple of weeks ago...but when I did it I remembered some advice posted here a long time ago....if it will go with the quilt, try to do the BW horizontally so you are working with how the machine will want to go instead of all the diagonal lines. I was able to do this on mine, which meant no rulers! It also was way easier (for me) to backtrack and hit it dead-on. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You did a great job and I love your feathers, which I'm sure you did freehand. I also love your basket weave......what size did you use?????? What batting did you use? This is the process I used and it went very quickly and easy. Continuous Double Crosshatching Thanks, Bonnie!
