Neher-in-law5
This is a quilt a number of friends contributed for a friend. Each of 12 ladies sent in a star block, I made the center, put them all together and quilted it with George. I used King Tut (matching colors) on the top and a prewound in the bobbin. Neher-in-law5
The back with the label. I had each quilter send a 4.5 inch block with their name and the name of their block on it. Then I made the center piece and put each signature block in the same position as their block on the front.
Neher-in-law5
some of the quilting, mainly the center star. I did have some of the red King Tut show through, but couldn't change it since it was good tension. The batting is Thinsulate.

JudyLynn
Madelyn, Since I know my George does not have feed dogs, channel locks etc.... I am so very impressed with all the straight line work you have done in this beautiful quilt. WOW that must have taken you many hours. I know it can be done, but it is time consuming also. Your friend will surely be over whelmed by your gift. Judy

Neher-in-law5
Thank you to each of you teachers by sharing your work. It has given me ideas and courage to share mine. I used blue painter's tape for the squares of white lines. The rest was all free hand. I did SID of the outer star areas, but not each seam. Just enough to hold it together and to keep the look of the star/design.
