Kay Anderson
I haven't done much quilting this weekend. Working on embroidery for my Grandaughters dance team. They are in Texas and send the jackets up to Kansas for me to embroider the names and logos on. I just can't say no when she and her Mom want me to help out. They pay for the materials so it's just my time. I like being a small part of something my GD (my Grandsons dance too) likes so much. She is a national champion in her age group. She has a room full of trophies bigger than she is! What is your favorite thing (besides quilting)?

JustSewSimple
I don't blame you one bit!!! What fun being part of her dance team and her life. She will never forget it was you who helped with your embroidery skills. Perhaps she will one day pass on the talent to her little one. You are a what grandmothers are all about!!! She does look like you - a beauty!!S

Janice
What a beautiful family. They have such cute smiles. Do you get to see them often?
Kay Anderson
No, I don't get to see them often. My husbands work has kept us out of Texas for a long time now (10 yrs). He is looking for a new job now (he got laid off 5 months ago) but we have no idea where we will land. If God is willing, maybe closer to the kids. My Son and Daughter are in the East Texas area, near Tyler. I know a lot of folks are struggling right now, but please pray we find employment soon. My Son has MS, we found out last April. And my Daughter has epilepsey. I need to be closer, please God. My heart is heavy and sad today with that need.
CrazyAboutQuilting
Kay, Your GC are darling! And I'm sure it makes it even more special when you are doing the embroidery for their costumes, etc. My GC are the same way. They only want sweatshirts that I have embroidered for them because no one else has one just like theirs.
Kay Anderson
It's nice for them to have special "Grandma Hug" things. A couple of years ago I made snuggle quilts for all the kids. I called the "Grandma Hugs". Now everything I make them is a grandma hug. Makes your heart just smile.
IBQLTN2
Certainly will be praying for your husband to find a job and hopefully one that will bring you closer to the children and grandchildren. You have a lovely family and I know you must miss being away from them and them you, but special Gramma Hug quilts sure do help.
