lisae
Wow, Carmen, that is pretty. I must have missed the first one. I really like the way you did the double piano key behind the applique border. Are all three quilts exactly alike?

ffq-lar
What a great job! Lots of design decisions that really compliment the piecing. Love those beadboards!
carmen
Thanks, The three are so close. They may vary in the sashing color and the lightness of the background fabric behind the roses. The piecers/appliquers used civil war reproductions. The next one and last for a while I hope, was pieced and appliqued by one of my guild sisters that passed away two months ago. She did like the way I quilted her tops. She won two ribbons; one first prize and one second prize. Her daughter asked me to quilt her mother's last quilt because I was her favorite quilter. Laurie, did you take the class (Northern Lily Southern Rose) from Bobbie Ball? The class for this quilt is always full. Carmen
mestuart
I love the quilt, is there a pattern or is it just a class by Bobbie? your quilting does it justice. thanks for sharing. Marion

I did meet Bobbie last week when I went to TC to deliver a client quilt. There are some very talented applique-ers in that class! It's a time consuming and difficult quilt to piece - especially those lily corners! It took me 3 years to get the appliqued borders finished!
