C's and E's

This may seem like a completely dumb question, but can someone send me a sketch of how you would quilt c's and e's. I had a customer request this and I have never done them and can't find a picture I can use as an example.

C's and e's? or 3's and e's?

Did they say CC's because that can mean continuous curve? I know how to quilt e's and l's (the same way you write in cursive only straight up and down).

Or E's and L's? I too have never heard of C's and E's.

Do a search, I think Linda Rech has posted a great tutorial on E's and 3's. I haven't heard of e's and c's either.

Here is a picture of 3's and E's. I can be quilted small like I did in this quilt as a background fill or large as an E2E. Hope this helps.

Leah Day has a blog where she is trying to create 365 filler patterns and Cs and Es are one of her more recent ones. I don't know how you would use this all over a quilt, unless you enlarged it quite a bit, more like a pantograph? Ricky Tims does C's and E's on the APQS CD using the George machine...I think it's also on the video on the APQS homepage on the right, click in the Fons and Porter video link and then the Ricky Tims with the George...it's more a beginners practice method though.....HTH

I am so glad you posted that picture!!!! After I read about 3's and e's I started trying to practice them on my dry erase board but they looked AWFUL. Now that I have seen your picture I realize I should be making capital e's not little e's. It looks so much better now

Love it as a fill.. the quilting is equally gorgeous.. I just used a panto to fill a bordfer, and it's like the tops of a heart on the top and flipped over for the bottom.. came out pretty nice.
