kloar
When my husband was deployed to Iraq for a year, I thought I might be bored while he was away (what was I thinking??) so I signed up for some online bargello classes. I took the sample sizes for the classes and enlarged them into QOVs. I love making bargello quilts. Sorry, the pictures are not the best but here they are. Beachside Quilter
Fabulous, Kim! I especially like the "Army" one! That has to be unique for a QOV! Way to keep the home fires burning, and great to learn a new technique while your DH is away. Thanks for sharing the pictures, and hoping he stays safe and well. (((hugs))) for you!! flygirlTRE
You have been busy since I saw you around the holidays! I finished school and I am enjoying my 9 weeks off (down to 5.5 weeks now). Just studying for my board exams.
char pietruk
These quilts are fantastic. I have quilted more QOV quilts than I can count but have never seen any in these patterns. The soldiers are going to love them.
kloar
Congratulations on finishing school!! Yeah!! "Millie" is always here if you need to use her. I was just thinking about you the other day- got Millie all serviced and new lights overhead from Dave Jones. Enjoy your time off and good luck on your board exams!! I'm travelling with the "kids" almost every weekend to terrier competitions and quilting during the week. Yep, a little busy.

kloar
Thank you everyone- they were a joy to make for the soldiers. DH is safe and home; no more deployments for the time being. Sylvia, the tops probably took me 2-3 weeks to piece.
