RoseCity Quilter
This is one of my husband Roger's latest. I am stumped as to how to quilt it. Could you give me some suggestions? It was a lot of piecing so I do not want to do an all over....

annaquilts
A few weeks ago Linda posted a picture of tumbling blocks that she had quilted using the continuos curve. It added demension but didn't take away from the piecing.
Rita
that's one awesome quilt! I've seen some done with concentric oblong circles on the tops (or maybe it was spirals) and (I think) straight lines parallel to the sides...it was nice! trust me! Merryjo2003
Beautiful top! Yes! I agree with Anna. That was the first thing that I thought of after seeing the pics that had been posted with the CC's. Looked lovely. I'm sure others will jump in here and give you some other options. JustSewSimple
Wow, how long did it take him to just cut it out????? He is a very patient man! It is a great top! Can't wait to see it quilted out - remember to post!

dmilner
If it was my quilt I would SID following the color blocks downward . I know that's not what you want to hear though.:P:P Tell Roger I love his quilt!! Donna

LadyLake
I wish that I had a good suggestion -- it is an awesome quilt. I would for sure SID. The quilting job Rita mentioned sounds fantastic. The only idea I have to share is a tumbling block that I recently quilted. I decided to look for small traveling designs to quilt parallel to the block edges. The photo here is a sashiko design that I call barbed wire grid. ffq-lar
Hi Ardelle, This is mindless stitching but will really compliment all of Roger's piecing.
ffq-lar
Joan--that sashiko barbed wire is awesome!
s.waits
Don't have any suggestions for quilting, but WOW! Hubby did a great job on that quilt! I've always loved this pattern, but have never made is just because of how much piecing is involved. Maybe this is just the inspiration I need to tackle it. Linda, love that continuous design. If you ever think about throwing out you graph paper pad, DON'T, just send it my way. I think I could learn as much from it as from many of the books out there. LadyLake
I was going to mention, after seeing Linda's link to her beautiful continuous curves using the triple play templates, that I talked with Deloa at Milwaukee last weekend and she pointed out that her boomerang rulers can be used for CC. You don't have to turn them upside down, because both the top arc and the bottom arc are the same. I haven't tried it, but I think I will after seeing Linda's beautiful job with her tumbling blocks. Quilting Heidi
I would probably do a lot of SID. I like the cc's on top and then straight parallel lines in the bottom part of the blocks.
Little House Creations
WOW . . . no suggestions, but can't wait to see what you do with it!!
chickenscratch
I just did CC's on the one I had to quilt. It came out looking nice. It was scrappy, though. That made it harder to see the blocks. Yours definitely has definition in the blocks.
