ffq-lar
I just finished the signature quilt made by guild members for our president who recently passed away. We made signed heart blocks to make her a comfort quilt but her time from diagnosis to death was only 9 days. Many blocks have "be strong, prayers for healing" sentiments and many have "sorry, comfort" messages. It was sad to read as I was quilting. I got in good practice for dense overalls since I wanted variety in the backgrounds and wanted the quilt to be special. Here's the link to Flickr. Right arrow when you get there for detail pics. Thanks for looking. http://www.flickr.com/photos/larech/9775570084/

RitaR
Nine days? That lady must have been terribly sick before she sought medical care. So sad to hear.. Will the quilt now go to the family? Can't think of another use for it beyond the guild.. and her family. The quilt came out just gorgeous. Thank you for handling the job so well..
