Follow Barb’s suggestion.  Also if your machine was built for Canadian standards you probably have another fuse under the top cover.  It used to be the American machines the lights and motor were on the same fuse while the Canadian machines used separate fuses.  I don’t know if this is still the case.
Let us know how you make out.

Linda, can you use the flywheel to bring the needle back up? It sounds like your needle may be in backwards and is hanging up on the hook.

I have a Freedom (now called Freddie) without a bobbin thread cutter, and I have never missed it.  As Nigel says, pulling the bobbin thread up and cutting it with the top thread is easy peasy. And as my husband says about everything, the more features there are, the more things there are to go wrong.

We had two machines both with bobbin thread cutters and never used them.  You have to cut the top thread anyway so why not pull the bobbin thread to the top and cut both at the same time.  To my knowledge APQS is the only machine I’ve seen with the bobbin thread cutter.
    Just my two cents

Most APQS machines have horizontal wheels and most other brands have vertical ones.  So it may not be easy.

Cross wound spools should have the thread pull off the top. Straight wound spools should have thread pull off the side of the spool. Have you tried a thread net?  Or possibly silicone thread conditioner like Sewers Aid?

If you’re on a longarm machine, stick a small piece of batting in the first thread guide above your spool.  It shouldn’t be tight - just to take up some space so the thread can’t jump around in that guide.

Gfossman:  There's probably a burr on one of the lock screws holes in the hook.  I had the same problem with my Ult2 years ago.  The burr got pressed into the hook shaft and bound the hook to the shaft.  Finally managed to tap it off.  Remove all of the hook locking screws when trying to move it.
I do have a question about your attempted repair.  Why are you trying to remove the hook when you simply need to re-time?  Timing is usually simply a matter of rotating the hook one direction or another, or moving the hook a few thousandths of an inch forward or back.
I would suggest that your try to move the hook back to where it was when you started.  Simply tap straight on the shaft/pin that centers the bobbin in, with a soft hammer and see if you can't get it to move back.  If you get it back in place, try rotating the hook back and forth to press the burr so the hook is movable and then do your timing adjustment.  An alternative would be to tap the hook off the hook shaft.  Again work gently, and try to support the hook shaft so it doesn't move.  If you get it off, find the burr on the hook and polish it off.  Similarly, examine the hook shaft, and polish off any defects that might have occurred from said burr.  Good luck.  Jim

Next time it stops try rotating the flywheel a bit and see if it starts back up again.  I had to replace the motor on our millennium because of symptoms like you describe.  Call the factory on Monday and they will help you diagnose your problem.

I would say it's personal preference and what you find most efficient.  My only suggestions is to make sure the whole quilt is stabilized (either stitched or pinned) before rolling it back.  You don't want to leave large areas unquilted which could cause your quilt layers to shift.  If it's not stabilized the backing rolls up on the take up bar at a different "rate" than the top.  It's like rolling up a magazine starting at the bound edge - when you get to the end, the pages aren't aligned like the bound edge.  If you glued the pages together, it wouldn't look like that.  You need enough "glue" in your quilt so it sticks together.
I think there's a video from Dawn @  APQS showing that she pin bastes the outside edges if she plans on turning a quilt to do borders.
    Good Luck!

Check your brushes.  Most things you can fix yourself with instructions supplies by APQS.  Here is how to check the brushes.

BestBiteBecky, Here's a link to their website, and looks like you can still buy the stylus kit, but you should probably check with them on compatibility with Lenni. Good luck!

    UPDATE:
I set up my Demo Lenni 3 weeks ago. I kept hearing a "tap, tap, tap", but only on one half of the rails. I could not, for the life of me, figure out what was going on, but the quilting was "off" on that side of the table.
I've been working with Angie at APQS, who finally called in a local rep, Beth Durand, out of Portland, OR. She is amazing! She referred to the tapping noise as a "heartbeat". lol
Beth was here this morning and began trying to determine the issue and where it was coming from. We somewhat determined that the rear rail was bad, so after talking with Angie and texting a video and photos to her, Angie said they would send out a new bliss track for the rear rail immediately.
Meanwhile, Beth called me back and asked me to turn the carriage around on the rails and move the carriage to the problem areas. I heard NO tapping! She said that pretty much determined it was the rail causing the issue and not the carriage or bliss system. YAY!
So, a new bliss rail is on the way and I may even manage to do some quilting before the end of June. lol
I'm thrilled, and thankful for the ability of these two women and their APQS knowledge.

Check out some of the YouTube videos by Angela Walters.  She does most of her longarm quilting without using a stitch regulator - including ruler work (I think).  She learned on a machine that didn't have SR so that's how she quilts on her longarm.  You just have to find the right machine speed that goes with how you move the machine.

Yes, you should be able to do ruler work.  It will take practice as well since you do not have SR.  There will be alot of stopping and starting with ruler work so you may have to shut off stitching when you come to a stop area to minimize thread build up.  With practice you will get quicker at moving the ruler and hand placement so you won't have to shut off in stopping areas.

APQS Rep Beth Durand will be out for a visit next Tuesday to see what she can figure out. Fingers crossed!
I'm not sure if anyone else has had a similar problem, so will be sure to post results of that visit, just as a reference to others.

dbams reacted to jimerickson in Freddie problem - bouncing in stitch regulated mode
Sue:  Check and make sure the wheels are properly adjusted.  With the vertical wheels on your Lenni, There was no up/down movement of the wheels because of the weight of the machine.  With the horizontal wheels, if the wheels are not tight, the machine can vibrate up and down.  I'd tighten the wheels until the machine requires a bit more effort to move it.  If you still have up/down bounce when you run the machine, then it's not the wheel adjustment.  If the bounce goes away, then it's the wheel adjustment.  If this solves the bounce problem, then I'd begin to slightly loosen the wheel adjustment, trying it each time until the machine moves with normal effort.  Good luck.  Jim

Maybe the needle up/down adjustment.  Used to be a common issue after a new machine has a few hours on it.   Links below first is for machines with LED light and second is for fluorescent light machines.
