merelling
Any suggestions for this quilt. I'm not sure what to do, some feathers?

Quilting Heidi
Merete, I see a big flower with a purple center for whatever reason. I don't know that much quilting is going to even show on this. Feathers were my first thought but I don't know that woul even show. Can you just do a e2e on it? Boy I don't say that often! It just isn't talking to me much! sewlinzi
how about spirals?
Sheri Butler
Do you have any big paisley rulers? You could use those purple small blocks as the center for a flower (i'm with Heidi on this one). Using those paisley rulers, and start going around the block until you've created 5-6 petals. Then feather inside those paisleys and you can continue w/the feathering in the purple borders as well, and smaller paisley design end to end in the bigger boarder.... Dunno, what-cha think? Sheri Butler
oops, dont know about the light cream colored area. Linda Card is good at suggesting things to do with those types of fillers.
kimmiequilts
Oh yes I see Sheri's flowers, they would be perfect! Great idea Sheri! Maybe a long palm type leaf in the light green/beige areas?
yeoldeforest
No suggestions here for quilting but looks like a great quilt - I love batiks! At least it looks like batiks!
Boni
After doodling, I decided I didn't like any of these ideas. I'd go with an E2E design that was sort of a water look, either swirls, waves, or a watery meander. Sorry. You might see something here to work from. I don't like the feather look on a batik--fabric is too busy to do it justice. I like the large swirls/circles in those blocks, and I think a line play might work. I needed a bigger model to work with. I like CC in the border patches, with some little motif in the plain border strips. Hope it helps.
jmcclannan
Swirls were my first thought and and I like the ones coming from that center purple block. I really like the wavy feathers in the green too. It adds some movement. Good luck!
victoriasews
I love the idea of a flower with the purple being the center. In the white I'd vine some leaves.

LeeAnn
I can't draw but I see a cabbage rose with the purple sq as the center and then leaves filling the beige areas. As you spiral out with the rose, reach into the areas to fill them. Can't wait to see it done!
kennan100
Do you have a Circle Lord? You could use the square dance. That's just square spirals.
