Tracey
Hey, I'm still doin' this quilt. At this point I just want it off. My hubby drew this bass for me and I put it in these blocks. The whole quilt is done in monopoly except for the brown sashings. Should I go back over this with some 'bassy' variegated thread or leave it. It's 4:30 am and my father in law is having major heart surgery in 2 1/2 hours. I can't sleep and I can't be there so I am occupying myself with this. What do you think? Rita
it looks great...but...IMHO...color would really set it off. Hope all goes well for your FIL. Rita
Brenni
It is lovely. If this is your quilt, color would be nice to showcase that both you and your husband are very talented. If it is not yours, the customer should decide. Hope all goes well with your father in law. Mary
Gator
I love the pic, your husband did a great job. I think a varigated thread would make the picture "pop".
Quilting Heidi
Tracey, It looks really good but like all the others I too would outline it. I'll say extra prayers for your father-in-law and pray for a quick recovery!

Tracey
Thanks everyone. Yes, Heath drew it then I freehanded it. I will go over it with a nice King Tut. I'll do the reeds in a greyish green I think. I am not going to frog first. I think it should be ok if I just go right over it. You think? I finally fell asleep around 7 this morning. My father in law is in surgery now so I think I will take the kids to the park so we can think about something else. I will work on the bass when we come home. Thank you for the prayers and good wishes.

wnott
I think it is awesome the way it is but if you want it 'really special' color will do the trick. Let us know how FIL is doing.
