Tina,

You did a fantastic job! I also have a log cabin quilt and another quilt that uses narrow strips that is similar and I have a question. Is it difficult going over that many seams? I was afraid that that might be a problem but looking at yours makes me think that I might just be worrying for no good reason.

I really like the thread color that you chose (as well as your outstanding feathers)! It's perfect for both the light and the dark fabrics. I like how it shows up on the light fabrics, but lets the dark fabrics 'shine.'

It's quite a leap to do this on a real live quilt. Good for you and well done! I'm still waiting for the courage...although I did do a bunch of freehand feathers on a quilt for my nephew. One I expect him to use and abuse, so I wasn't too worried.

Tina,

Your feathers are fantastic. They are so smooth and flow

so perfectly. The quilt came out great. I'm sure your friend will be thrilled.

I am getting ready to try feathers for the first time on a log

cabin. Like Colleen, I would like to know how you found

running over all those seams. I really have to focus to do

feathers, I'm afraid all that bumpety-bump will break my

rhythm. Do you have any tips to share about that? What

color color thread did you use? It looks like Mother Goose

by Signature.

Thanks for sharing the photo.
