I can stand lots and lots of snow,rain, cold, wind and other midwest "bad weather" Even the occassional tornado in Michigan doesn't add up to all the adversity faced by those in the more southern area!!! Busy Quilting Posted February 2, 2011 Report Share Posted February 2, 2011 Thanks you to all ou American friends and your kind thoughts. Here in Australia I was hearing of the wild storms in the US so my thoughts were with you. Cyclone Yasi does not appear to have been quite as destructive as it was originally predicted. An unusual thing for me I actually have the TV on this morning to see the reports. Most coverage is from an i-phone via skype due to power being out. Mirabelle - Karen Bennett is in Ingham which is south of the eye of the cyclone. She was battoning down the hatches earlier in the week when I contacted her. If you live in North Queensland then you can expect Cyclones every year, so most residents know the precautions to take. My thoughts are with them, as their thoughts were with us during our flooding.
