bobbi
Here's one of the MANY custom quilts I'm privileged to quilt... It's a sampler with 18" blocks... I have a 22" area to quilt, so I decided to do each block the same... I hope to be done today - 3 more blocks to do... Also, when I got to the bottom row, well, the picture tells the story... I'll get pics of the finished later... Enjoy!
bobbi
It's hard to see, but a curved x hatching "diamond" in the middle with "pharaoh" feathers in corners... Here's what the bottom looks like!
Primitive1
Ahhhh, can't you "quilt that out?" I guess with lots of bias's you get that ruffled curtain effect - I hate it when that happens....good luck! I know you can tame this one!
Heritage Keepsakes
I love the quilting in the top picture, but boy, that bottom row would freak me out. I'm glad it's in the hands of someone experienced, and not mine! And could someone please tell me what 'pharaoh' feathers are?
bobbi
Vickie - got 'em quilted out, no pic yet... just some tiny tucks! YIKES! It looks good though... Julie - "pharaoh" feathers is my own term - I think the corner feathers look like a "Pharaoh's" head dress! Going to finish now!!! Wanna get this one off the frame! JustSewSimple
I wish I could have been a fly on your shoulder and watched you quilt out that giant border!!! Those are things bad dreams are made of. You did it up right!!!!
bobbi
Thanks y'all! I'm no master, but I no longer get flustered when I get a wonky quilt... I let them know the first time and tell them how to improve their piecing, and then I just quilt 'em... I always want them to love what I do to their quilts... I take pics just in case they ask why I did things a certain way - for back up... You girls and quilting feed my soul!!!! Thanks for your awesome comments!
