I bought one of those 3 yd deals at the Houston Quilt Show & wasn't frugal enough when I cut out the fabric I found more of this fabric online & ordered it. I ordered the rose colored minky online & didn't finish the quilt right away. Found out later that I hadn't ordered enough. Went back online to order more but the store had gone out of business. I was referred to 2 websites that had minky & ordered more of the fabric by the same color name. As you can see, they weren't the same color. I then procrastinated for a while trying to decide whether to just use something different on the back. I finally decided that I would use what I had, & I'm actually happy with it. And yet you kept at it and got it done! So many times when those hickups happen the quilt top ends up in a UFO pile. You should be very proud of yourself and I can see why your sister loved it.
