I have called mine lots of things over the last few months :P, but it doesn't officially have a name. It is an Ultimate 2. Hmmm. . . maybe somebody needs to publish a naming guide for longarms like the ones they have for new babies.

My Millie is named Colleen after Colleen Dewhurst. She was a consumate actress and a woman of substance and power who I would call a truely handsome woman. Haven't decided if she will have a pedigree name. My music teacher made me name my violin which is how the silliness here was started. Her name is Ji Yan's WDDB Bright Morning (for we don't do Bach - she hates minuets), but we all call her Babs.

Mine is "Matilda" from a Roald Dahl favorite of my son's. When I go off to quilt my husband teases that I'm going "Waltzing Matilda." It's fun, isn't it?

It's a bit of a long story - when I was in elem school my Granddad got a job as the janitor so that he could see me and my brother every day. I thought it was cool. About the time I got my machine, one of my co-workers made the comment that our jobs - fixing projects that have gone bad - were the equivalent of corporate janitors! That's when I got the idea to name mine after the other janitor in my family. So my Mille is WILLIE.

I have just decided to name my Millie "DAYZEE" . Days of work ahead and I will get no ZZZZ's till she arrives or for days after she gets here... Also, my business is called the "THE house next door" as in if I buy any more fabric my husband will have to buy the house next door to move into.
