smd719
Hi! I realize that you CAN do cc on any size block, but do you think there's a size limit? I mean do you think it looks nice on larger blocks? Up to what size? Thanks.
Bonnie
I think you will find that the answer to that is WHAT do you like.... I don't think its bad in any situation....although if its to tiny it might look like doodle.....
Sandra Darlington
Hummm...what about a large continuous curve with some kind of feathers or another design coming off of the line to fill it in more? Food for thought.
kusmaulk
Does everyone use a template for these? Can you do them freehand?
gable428
Karol, you can do them freehand. I've tried it and mine look bad so I have to use templates to get mine to look good.
Ferret
I like to make it more ornate on larger blocks, but yes it can work well. Ferret
victoriasews
If the block is 4 inches or bigger, I add more cc's to the center as well as around the block so I get a motif. I attached a picture so you'll know what I'm talking about. This pic was recently posted so sorry about the repeat.

pfrost
It is a very pretty quilt. Thanks for the photo showing what you meant by adding a bit more to a larger square than just the CCs. It truly enhances the blocks. Pat AZ (snowy & cold here) Mille
victoriasews
Coleen Check out the "Quilt Pictures" thread under "McSwirling" for information on the Triple Play rulers. Linnea I sorted through the trash to find the note from the piecer because I knew she had written the names of the quilts. I finally found it but it only had 2 names on it and she sent 3 quilts. I looked both up on line and they were for the other 2 quilts, so, sorry, I don't know the name of this quilt. The quilter lives in Alabama so so when I find her email, I'll ask her. Merryjo2003
I just bought a ruler at Road to CA. Makes the cc more consistant, but a lot slower. Did I say I loved ruler work!. Not!!
