simplydivine
Here are some pictures of a raffle quilt I just finished. It was created in EQ6 by local guild members and is paper-pieced. It will be on display at the International Quilt Festival - Chicago on Saturday, April 18th.

JoleneK
Julie, this quilt is breath taking, absolutely beautiful. There is an incredible amount of hours in this quilt, how big is it?
simplydivine
thread... I could have gone with even brighter threads with the brown background --- BUT (the gals on the raffle quilt committee) wanted it more subdued.
simplydivine
The quilt is 98 x 98. I did SID in all the paper-pieced blocks with monofilament and in some areas brown thread. I prefer not to use monofilament, but with all the color changes, it was the most logical choice. The dark blue center has a spiral in the middle with squiggly lines going out to the points and back. (I don't have close ups of those.) I will take more pics after binding is on. I didn't even have the quilt 24 hours after it was finished they picked it up right away! simplydivine
If you can't tell if it's freehand or computerized - I did my job! I have an IQ and in the center of each corner is a computerized otif. (OneSong) All the lines coming out from it, the echoing, background, and everything else is freehand.
