Boni
A friend came and is helping me finish it up. We did paint the colored part of the bottom row, but had to quit when the sun went down.
RoseCity Quilter
Love your barn quilt. Wonder what my hubby and brother in law would do if I did that to the Kerr family barn?! (Don't think I would be very popular).

Boni
Judi, Wow, you guys really know how to bring the old ones up to date...I'll attach a picture of the whole thing. It's actually the side of the "shop" that we call a barn. I do have plans to paint another quilt beside this one sometime this month. There, I made the commitment and now I'm committed! And yes, I plan to paint that round table too! Looks like a good month to do it. Quilting is a little slow so I have some down time. How are you guys doing? jeri
Very cool! I've been wanting to paint just a quilt block and hang it between the windows on the front of my house. It's probably a project for next year. Kinda like the barns in Iowa.

GrandmaLKB
Love your "quilting" on the barn door. That is still a project I want to do, but mine will be painted on a piece of marine grade plywood and then hung on the end of our machine shed. Bekah
Love your barn Boni. Makes me want to paint a block on my shop above my door. I am not allowed to put up a sign due to zoning regulations but no one said I couldn't pain quilt blocks. Hope you are having a good summer. char pietruk
What a great project. I just love when I'm driving in the country and come upon a quilt on a barn. Hope yours is visible from the road.
Boni
Charlene, I think that's why I did it. I, too, love to come upon those little treasures in the country. There's one in a neighboring community, Yamhill/Carlton, that is huge! right next to the road. One day I just happened to look up, DH driving, and couldn't believe what I was seeing. We turned around and went back for a double take. This view is not easily seen from the road. You have to know where it is and look through the trees. In the winter you can see more with no leaves on the trees. The new one that I'm painting will be easy to see from the road.
