Busy Quilting
I have been using my R & S boards on a few quilts lately. Semi custom work as they are not standard overalls. Thought I would share a couple with you. This first one had a lot of issues with the border, especially when I went to turn it. But Starch and Steam sucked them in. Busy Quilting
This second one is all hand piced over papers. So I thought I would follow the diagonal lines with he boards. Used Dave's quilt clips to hold the quilt as I rolled, as It was only held to the top roller with 12" of red snappers. Lyn

CWBowser
They look fantastic. Do you have multiple boards of one pattern or do you move them?

WestieMom
Both quilts look great! I especially like the first one where you combined the boards with free hand. I see the purchase of boards in my future:o
saratogaquilter
And I'm more confused now than ever! I just love that first one! I love the designs and the price of the boards. I like the payment plan of the CL and I like the fact that the QZ is made in Iowa. What's a girl to do??? Better go buy a lotto ticket. Great job Lyn! Busy Quilting
I have bought the R & S Boards, due to the cost. Delivery to Australia doubles the purchase price. I buy two of each and "leap frog" them across the back. The large swirl on the first quilt is just one from the board. The second quilt because it was on the diagonal I had to leap frog three or four times. As the quilt wasn't rolling straight to the bars I made sure I "levelled" the boards each time I rolled. They weren't really level by the end, I had about a 3" difference that I marked on the top of the panto plastic with a whiteboard marker so I knew to keep the boards sloped! kennan100
Wow, you did great on these. Handpeicing is hard to machine quilt from all I've heard, but you kept it right on! Good for you!
judysmith
Hi Lyn Nice job on your quilts. The semi custom looks really nice. I'll bet your customer was thrilled. I think the RNS boards are great value too. They also work just fine with my Quiltazoid. In fact, I'm thinking of purchasing the extension arm, so I can quilt the long boards from the front. Hitomi
Wow! Thanks for sharing. The quilts look awesome! Great job on quilting them. Yah, the boards are pricey. I checked them out online. It'll be a while before I can afford them. Still working on paying off my Millie! LOL!
