NanaFuller
i know i need to work at the SID, I'm hoping when it washes it will look better. It was pieced and ironed with open seams. I think that makes a difference. I've read several articles about ironing seems open. I'm not sold yet. anyway, I practiced feathers, rulers and freehand designs. https://plus.google.com/photos/101213526425238991560/albums#photos/101213526425238991560/albums/5749177058080077121 I'm sharing so a year from now we can see how much better I am :P

Mrs.A
Hi Ann Marie: That's a pretty quilt and you did a wonderful job with the quilting! I have read that you should not ditch seams that are pressed open because all you're sewing over is thread...not fabric. That made sense to me. Anyone else have an opinion? Bonnie H
I agree with Kristina, it looks great! The other day I was reading on the Green Fairy blog and saw one of the first quilts she quilted back in the day. It was along the lines of what my first looked like (not so good! LOL) and look at her now! You are gonna be a master quilter in a year, or maybe not even that long!!!

Quilting Heidi
Ann Marie hold your head high! You did a terrific job on that quilt. I'm not a fan of pressing seams open and quilting them is a pain.

GrandmaLKB
Looks Great ! I don't care for open seams on the quilt top either - only if the backing is pieced, then press those seams open for less bulk.
RoseCity Quilter
Fabulous quilting! I think we all think our SID needs work, not an easy thing to master.....
