chickenscratch
Here it is. Minus the borders- don't ask, longarm disaster took place. Finished size (without binding) 26 inches square
chickenscratch
The back is more beautiful than the front. I think I may just go into the whole cloth business. Nothing like thread designs on solid color fabric to make me happy. Isn't the secondary design that showed up on the back just awesome?
Quilting Heidi
Teresa, I love what your doing with this. I would just do the center the same as what you have done above. I did mine the same and it really made it flow. I didn't like mine until I got it off the frame, when you can see the full impact. Heidi
Ruthieq
I LOVE the ferns and would also vote to do them in the center.
narink
I concur with everyone else. Just repeat the same fern pattern--it is gorgeous.
Bonnie
Man I wouldn't rip out...it looks grea the way it is....I would also carry those into the center blue areas and maybe a McTayloring in the white areas.... or some other tight background filler. What had you planned for the outside borders?
sewingupastorm
I would keep going with what you are doing..............I think it looks really good.
catsigler
Do you have Sue Patten's book? That's the one that got my creative juices flowing and gave me the ideas and the courage to start on my spiral lone star. It's a great book to stimulate the brain and help you start thinking about designs for different shaped spaces.
BethDurand
You're thinking of ripping it out! Are you nuts? It's gorgeous! Beth
chickenscratch
Myrna or Sue or Linda or somebody, what would you put in the borders? I'm almost done with the body of it.
suzakel
I'm not the Sue you're looking for, but I'd consider doing the curly ferns in the border too in an undulating line. I think what you're doing looks great! Keep up the good work! Sue Kelly

Katydids
Teresa can you tell me if this is the same pattern that was posted awhile back. I think it was related to a discussion on teaching at an LQS. Someone had posted a link to a free pattern that was about 40" square. I went to the link and thought I downloaded the pattern, but I can't find it anywhere. Is there anyone out there that can direct me to it? Thanks, Patty

chickenscratch
Cathy, I've been using my LA for 2 1/2 years. And trust me, it's not really all that good. You just can't see the really close up pictures. And I'm not going to put them on here for everybody to see.
quiltmonkey
Teresa, honey I love your quilting. It is so beautiful. Be proud of this work. Don't pick it apart; I've said this before so you already know that I appreciate the "slight imperfections" in a quilt anyway because it makes them more interesting and unique (and lovely). You done good, girl! Such intricate designs. It is obvious that you love what you do.
