rcck00
Well, I finally finished it. It was a long haul, since DH was in the hospital for a week (they kept him when I took him to the ER for trouble breathing). It has been an incredibly long 3 weeks. But, no matter, \'cause I finished it!! *doing the happy dance!* Here it is:

rcck00
Thanks, Laurie, Yes, he\'s doing better. It is amazing how weak a week in the hospital can make a person. But he is slowly regaining his strength, and we are so happy to have him home.

Made me go "aaawwww!" When I saw those little flowers. It is all so lovely...great job! Glad that your DH is Ok. Quilting is a good diversion to worries, sometimes, isn\'t it? Sandra Darlington
That is a beautiful table runner and your quilting really "kicked it up a notch" or two. (The table runner made me think of food and then of Emeril.) I hope your DH is on the mend.

PattyJo
Cathy - your quilting on the runner turned out very nice. I like the whole thing. Sorry to hear about your DH, but glad he is home now. Quilting sure helps the mind to relax and get off the worry that goes on when a dear one is not healthy. rcck00
Thanks everybody, for the kind words, and good wishes for my DH. This one was fun to do, but I underestimated how much work (and time!) it would be. Nonetheless, I learned a lot, and it has given me a confidence boost. Off to load the next quilt!! Thanks! Bonnie
I so echo, Sherry...I really really love the designs and your placement...it makes the table runner. I personally think this one is prettier than the original.
JoAnnHoffman
What a great job you did. It\'s lovely. Can I have it? JoAnn
rcck00
Sherry, Thank you! You are sweet to say so. Bonnie, I tend to agree with you, I thought she did an awesome job picking the fabrics, and her piecing was dead-on. JoAnn, Sorry, sweetie, it isn\'t mine to give (yeah, I\'ll go with that excuse... if it were mine, I\'d have to come up with another!). It was a customer quilt. It was hard to give back! Would have looked really nice on my table. Thank you, everybody!!
DB
I love the little swirls on the white flowers. Did those take alot of starts and stops or did you back track? I can\'t tell, I love the effect. Glad to hear you husband is on the mend. DB
rcck00
Hi DB, Thanks! That was all one continuous line, no backtracking (except on the twirls, like ribbons). I spiraled the center of the flower, ending in the middle of one side of the square. Then out to do the middle "twirl", back to the same spot, out and back again for each side twirl, and then SD around the square to the middle of the next side, and so on. Does that make sense? Let me know, I can draw it out if you want.
