JoleneK
I actually pieced and quilted this week (DH was out of town) and put the binding on last night. Living in Florida, I wanted a winter scene for a change. I love snow and winter even though I grew up in So. California and have since always lived in tropical areas and now Florida. meg_marsh
great quilt - did you cut and piece/fuse all the tree or did you find some fabric that shows this wonderful winter scene? What we can get done when the DH is gone....... LOL
JLM
Isn't it great to do your own project once in a while? I love it. Janet Mohler Colorado Springs

JoleneK
The fabric is from Classic Cotton, no fusing, just attic window designed layout, I added a curtain/valance effect.

Primitive1
Very pretty, I am looking forward to my first winter with my long arm so that I can stay in and quilt rather than commute to an office I don't want to be at....your quilt is wonderful! Boni
That's a great idea! My daughter sent me one she did with the fabrics from Secret Garden. I've been wondering what to do with the quilting. I like the simple lines in the "frame". Looks like you did a water-type meander in the snow scenes? Do you have time for a close-up? I'll check the other thread too. Thanks
JoleneK
Bonnie, It is just a water meander in the trees. Gave it a frosty window effect.

dtreusch
I love it Jolene!! Makes you want to curl up on the couch with a cup of hot chocolate and read a book. Shana - you have snow already?? It's fabulous fall weather here. It's been about 70 during the day and 40-50 at night. Debbi

kimmiequilts
I saw the radar, looks like a lot of cold wet stuff heading for Alaska as well as Washington state! We still have green trees here, just hints of color and it's going to be warmer for the next week than the last, 70's. Shana it's not Hawaii but it's pretty nice here in PA! jclark
Shana--the weather man is predicting one to two feet of that white stuff for us here in Montana starting tomorrow--let's hope he's wrong, it's way too early for that much snow! Jolene: How about we switch places for the winter??? Beautiful quilt, I love the trees and snow.

JoleneK
I would love to switch places with just about anyone for the winter. I love trees and snowy areas. I know for you guys that live in snow areas its not as romantic as us southerns think, but its got to beat the humidity in October. It will be weeks before we can turn off the A/C. You would think I grew up in the cold because I don't care for the heat. Bekah - come on over I'll teach you how to do it.
Just Sew Simple
Jolene, I think the reason us southern girls dream of snow is because we don't have to live in it. I do wish our seasons here were a bit more defined. I've been to Alaska and I do think I might could live there! Soooooo pretty!
PattyJo
Jolene, your quilt is realllllllly great. I had to go and get a sweater on just to look at it!! LOL Seriously, you've done an amazing job.
