all Houses are ready (Pattern from Bernadette Mayr)

Love your quilt. So quiet and unassuming, then you turn out the lights and WOW!!!!!! Glow in the Dark thread????!!!! What a neat idea. It would be really cool on a kids quilt. What kind of thread is it? Inquiring minds want to know. Also, are the feathers freehand or computer?? Beautiful job either way.

Carin, I too have just been asked to quilt a quilt with glow in the dark thread...WHICH one did you use? And where did you find it. I need it before Thanksgiving...your help would be greatly appreciated. The onlyglowing thread I have is Embroidery thread from Mettler...not sure its strong enough to do the job.

Thank you all for your kind words! I´m very pleased :)

Thread is 40wt/2-play embroidery thread, named FuFu Glow in the dark, please lock here for details

The thread is very thin and forgiving, but sometimes it breaks, it could be, that Superior Glowy will be a better choice. All feathers are freehand, I only make a plastic stencil for the outer shape (like method Pam Clarke), draw around with the violet air earaisible pen, so I could see where the feathers has to stop. In the middle I make also a plastic heart stencil for drawing around. All straight and diagonal lines are quilted with my Little Girl Ruler (very nead thing...love it, it´s so handy)

The original Quilt Pattern is from Bernadette Mayr, very easy freecut method. Here you can have a look what is still in this kind book

You are all so great :)

best wishes from the other side of the ocean!
