witha'K'quilting
Here goes. This is a practice piece. It is actually 108" wide muslin that I blocked sections and 'played'. I used this as time to learn the machine...just a little. Have lots more practicing to do. Enjoy!

MarthaProvencher
I see great things coming from you. You have the two most important skills (IMHO) down: a willingness to try anything and the ability to turn the inner critic off.
Boni
Don't you wish those practice pieces that turn out this good would have been done on a real quilt? Great job! Keep up the good work and you'll do well!

witha'K'quilting
Thanks for all the wonderful comments. I actually made this 'practice piece' king size. It fits my bed. I played freehand all over it. I do like the machine quilting probably better than the piecing...although they go hand in hand. I like to piece traditional blocks with a twist. Usually the blocks have folded fabric...wild colors...something to make it mine. I will post more pictures as I get other projects done.
