jebm
This is a 54 x 54 quilt for a 4 year old...customer wants some hearts if possible...looking for ideas! I don't have a "childish" panto and I don't think I'd want to use one--I just need some ideas! Thanks in advance! Jane
April W
Jane, did you reduce the size of your picture? I have seen a heart meander panto.
jebm
First I had an apostrophe in the title-remembered that problem, then the picture was sooo small I couldn't even see it! Let me try a little bigger! Elles quilt.BMP
RitaR
It looks so cute, do you have a bigger image hiding somewhere? I'd really love to see it better. RitaR
Boni
If you're not wanting to do a panto, can you freehand loopy loops and hearts?
meg_marsh
I don't mind SID - so my recommendation would be to SID the braids and then feathers in the border and around the center heart - would do fun feathers - not formal. I think the heart in the middle stands for itself. Or if you need hearts - would still keep the feathers around the center heart and then a meandering heart/ribbon in the borders. cute quilt.... KerryM
What about this panto: http://store.designsbyvickie.com/heartsloopscq.html Very simple, but cute!

sspingler
This looks like a good candidate for Wandering Daisies from willowleafstudio.com
jebm
Gets the juices flowing! I would love to do the feathers--okay for kids--that's my only worry! I love the daisy and heart pantograph--might try that freehand--like the loopy heart--ribbon and heart--I do mind SID--but could work on that too. I'll post a pic (or try) when I'm finished! THANKS! jackie_lathem
Jane, I love that pattern!! Where can I get it? Also, I'm not a quilter, but I would like it with the loopy heart thingy that Bonnie drew.
Grammie
Keep it simple. Squiggle instead of Straight line SID. Very Fast and not too much thread coverage. Heart with Piano keys separating them. Doesn't need alot. Its really cute. Sorry I'm new to photo shop and not that good with it YET. lol Good luck Grammie
Busy Quilting
By Jodi Beamish www.willowleafstudio.com has hearts and ribbons stitches quickly and looks great on straight edged piecing. Lyn
victoriasews
I like doing these feathered hearts. By being freehand, you can go around the heart in the center and maybe SID around that or do a different design in that.
jmcclannan
I love those freehand hearts. What a clever idea!
ramona-quilter
I have done these braids on French braid quilts. Lots of seams to pop up over time unless they are nailed down. See attached photo for a continuos curve way to stitch the blocks freehand, no ruler and no SID. I love Tammie's ideas for the hearts in the border and the center medallion. And like everybody else, I would love to see a photo of the finished product.
Quilting Heidi
I'd do a feathered heart around the center heard, then maybe Linda's method of cc's or even just a swirly meander and in the outside border I'd do hearts. Precious quilt.
