ffq-lar
Pretty, beautifully-pieced all blue top--the customer wanted the 3-D effect emphasized. How could anybody miss it, though!!
ffq-lar
Quilting for the blocks--line-work to emphasize the "walls" and scrolls to emphasize the "tops". It was fun to figure out the designs, but it took lots of time with all the stops and starts. Blue thread--BottomLine and Brytes. This is the second quilt in a row that I stitched on the binding--this one took 25 minutes and I charge a flat $30-any size-to attach the binding. I even did the invisible join on the longarm! I should do a demo of that nifty trick!

I love the sashing design too...maybe I'll try to figure that one out. Please do show us how you do the invisible join on the binding with the longarm. Neher-in-law5
What great quilting you have done. The top was good to start with, but you really brought out all the best parts with the quilting. I like your sashing design and see that you have the same as a block design on the tops of the blocks. Good work. Thanks.

fineseams
What a great way to quilt a tumbling blocks! It makes me want to piece and quilt one!!! Any chance we could see an even-closer-up of that lovely scroll in the sashing? I was trying to figure out how you did it as a continuous line.... You are amazing. ffq-lar
Hi Bonnie--here is a super close-up. It is continuous but requires marking the spaces. I also marked circles for the curls so I would remember to butt them up to each other. She picked it up this morning and was pretty happy with it. Thanks for the kind comments!
