ffq-lar Posted December 15, 2010 Report Share Posted December 15, 2010 Thank you thank you!! I love you all! This is a "zero" birthday for me--I'm 60.....and not sure how I was feeling about that. On Monday night a big thunder storm/wind storm hit around midnight and knocked the power out--our whole road and adjoining neighborhoods. On Tuesday a.m. I dressed in the dark, fixed hair and make-up at work, worked five hours and went home to a cold dark house. Mr. Denny "McGyver" had various battery/butane/propane powered gadgets in place so we had a light, a bit of heat and a burner to make hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps! We went to the mall to Christmas shop and have dinner, then went home to a still dark house. By 7 p.m. I was called by a best buddy who insisted we come spend the night at her house. We ate cookies, chatted until eleven and slept soooo well. Power's back on, I took a long bath, checked the chat and saw all this!! I am blessed--no matter what my age! I have a wonderful hubby and son, a warm, bright, decorated-for-Christmas house, and all of you! This is the best age of all!! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
