Zora
Very pretty quilt with an interesting border treatment. I have that panto, and I love it! Looks great!
Anne from Guam
This is the quilt I started stitching freehand feathers on and I had to rip them out! So I wimped out and did a panto instead. The panto is called large popcorn by Jodi Beamish. I really like this panto because it is fast and looks good. I used my new Metro thread on the top and in the bobbin.

LadyLake
Your stitching looks perfect! What a nice gift for your friend's aunt. Okay, I have to ask. Are you the only longarmer on Guam, Anne? Please fill us in -- I know nothing about Guam, except my husband says he thinks it is in the South Pacific.

Boni
Is that the name of the quilt pattern? Or is your friend a Victorian farmer's daughter? I love the simplicity!

I love the simplicity! Actually the pattern is called rancher's daughter. But with this color palette and older fabric style, I thought I'd give it a different name. If you look at a globe, it is directly east of the Philippines. It is at the bottom of a chain of islands called the Northern Mariana Islands. Tropical. Guam is American: money, shopping, postal service, etc. There are some chain restaurants (McDonalds and all the fast food, also TGIFridays, Planet Hollywood, Chili's...) but Guam has a lot of small family restaurants that make local food, Thai, Korean and Vietnamese foods too. I know of one other person who has a longarm, she just moved here in April. Guam has a military base, and I don't know if there are any longarmers on base or not. I had a few problems winding it on the bobbin, but someone advised me to use the thread net and that worked out great. The Metro thread has a sheen to it, which makes it show up nicely on the quilt.
