Playing With Bubbles (Quilt Pictures Added)

My new CL Bubbles template arrived yesterday, so I've been playing with it. After doing 3 table runners with it, I decided to load some fabric and play.

Unfortunately, I ran out of fabric before I ran out of possibilities and ideas, but hopefully some of you will find some other possibilities for this template and share them.

Here are some border possibilities -- unembellished, but there are many ways they could be embellished I think.

And here are some block possibilities.

And the neat thing is that you can do some of these border designs vertical as well as horizontal.

They are pretty and so versitile. We have the Topper, Quiltizoid and their boards as well as the R & S boards, which give us a lot of varieties.

Glad you are finding so many designs. That shows your great eyes mind.

P.S. This is all done without having to turn any disk or anything. Just lay the big board on the back of the machine and follow the lines with the stylus.

I had fun with it. I just finished an allover quilt with it and will post pictures to the contest soon.

And, YES, we are so fortunate to live in a time when so many cool tools are available to us. I think of our ancestors using scissors and cereal boxes to cut out patterns and such. While we have rotary cutters and acrylic rulers.

Sheri,

Is this something like you wish for?

Yes, but without the echoeing. That's simple enough for anyone to add on to it.

Of course, you could simply just "not stich it...." DUH! LOL

or a choice of the largest circles being 4" then a second line/border with a 3" large circle...wondering how many lines you can get on a border width template... 4 & 3 " alternating bubbles....3 & 2 " alternating bubbles, 2 & 1 for small borders. ..the template would be about 10" wide probably huh michael?

Just trying to make it so versatile, that it can be used with 3 dif sized borders! THAT would be helpful !!

the template would be 18" x 18".

The Echos not only give you a different pattern, but allow

you to fill in more sizes of borders.

How many different sizes can you put on that 18" template? Any for smaller borders less than 4"?

I am very interested in this!!!!!!
