LauraJ
Customer said do what I want. I tried some ethnic type of patterns in the large cream areas but it made the quilting jump off the quilt rather than the piecing. This is a take on the Gees Bend quilts and from what I saw - those quilts were very, very basic. This is what I did - give me feedback please. She's picking it up today. Thanks!! Corey
Laura, You really are limited to what you can stitch on modern/linear quilts. It's perfect as is. Corey

LauraJ
She liked it. I gave her a little discount as it was so much linear quilting. She now has two more for me to do. Love having happy customers.

ffq-lar
Great outcome, Laura. The Gee's Bend quilts would have been hand-quilted probably exactly as you stitched.

fineseams
A great way to handle this quilt! I'm not surprised that your customer liked it. Someone that had that type of design sense would surely appreciate quilting that enhances the linear feeling of this quilt.
