The original from the pattern had dense straight-line quilting about an eighth of an inch apart--in every area. She asked for a less-dense treatment and wanted the water filler on the gray background. It was easy to stitch with some marking and care with the spacing. The plain block design I call a Jetson's Overall but it's a panto by Denise Schillinger called Modern Square. I like that my customer wanted more movement and several designs on this quilt. She gave me 100% cotton batting and I used So Fine on the gray and Madeira invisible thread on all the colors. Thanks for looking! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

However, my studio is full of dark prints and "old" fabrics. Oh dang, I have to by new! I wish I had customers who like the modern look. Most of my customers are very traditional.
