JoAnnHoffman
The feather border is Marilyn Badger's CQ design. The corner fans are CQ'd, the rest is freehand. The great thing about using a CQ is that you can use a contrasting thread and not be afraid. I used tan for the feather and ivory for the background. Grammie
That looks freaking AWESOME. Like you I love CQ and Freehand as a combo for the same reasons. I do designs in CQ with some really cool thread colors that I would be CHICKEN to freehand. lol It really looks just great! You are such a talented lady. Thanks for sharing your pics. Hugs to ya, Grammie Tammie

digisuz
JoAnn, I love to see your creative projects. This is another great quilt where you have combined CQ and freehand techniques. You are masterful at that and a great digitizer! This quilt is really nicely done. JoAnnHoffman
I forgot to mention... look how straight it hangs even with all that quilting, I used Warm & Natural, Soft and Bright needled polyester. Just one layer.
bluedogquilts
Here I am JoAnn, is your head swelling again? Well it\'s well deserved. Just look at that work. I would love to say you do it all with smoke and mirrors, but I know different. It took a lot of hard work and just plain talent. I personally think you do better than the CQ, but I guess I\'m just a little bias :P Keep it up baby, it gives us all something to strive for.
