witha'K'quilting
Thanks. The meander almost looks like a funky feather now to me. The pattern is my own thing...and works fantastic with sample card fabric that are all the same width. That is how I obtained all these Thimbleberries. Sandra Darlington
Kristina, Your Peacock meander looks great on that quilt. Maybe I'll do that on my Thimbleberries scrappy UFO when it's finally ready for quilting.
Sandra Darlington
What size is your Peacock meander? I know it varies, but approximately, what size? Also, what thread did you use in the top nad in the bobbin? Just curious, so I can tuck the info away with my UFO.
Sheri Butler
Perfect quilting choice Kristina my dear! You must of used like a King Tut thread, cuz it shows up so nicely on those Thimbleberry fabrics!

witha'K'quilting
Sandra...The average size of the meander is 1-2" from inner to outer peacock shell. I used So Fine thread #445 for both top and bottom. I am really pleased with the thread choice. It does show up nicely without overpowering the whole quilt. Linda...I am almost finished with the handwork on the binding, so I will take a picture of it on the wall soon. I am glad everyone likes it. I am very happy with it even though Thimbleberries are NOT typically my thing.

Boni
Thanks for posting the inspirational piece. Beautiful. Those feather/peacock/clam shells sort of designs always look so professional and elegant no matter what fabric it's on.
ffq-lar
Great design choice--and I love the raven!! The thread was a good choice as well--it shows enough on the darker fabrics to make you want to look closer and find the pretty design. Can't wait to see it hanging. witha'K'quilting
I took the quilt down to the LQS...they are going to display it in their window for a week. Any longer I am afraid will start to fade it from the sun. I will take pictures of it hanging. I am so excited. They loved it. They offered to hang other quilts too after this one. Yay!
