sewlinzi
I'm delighted to announce that I have a new MQX trip travel buddy... Tracy G is coming with me:D We had a really good time last weekend so I think we'll have a GREAT time in USA! Now we have to settle on the flights and detours and get on with the organising... quiltermidwife
Hey Linzi What's your New York itinerary? If three is not a crowd I might join you depending on whether I could easily change my return flight to a later date. Chris
sewlinzi
Plans are still very rough but thinking of arriving on April 8th at Newark, leaving on 11th to MQX by train or car, show and detours then back from Newark. That way we can fly direct from Scotland... going midweek may also be cheaper. Want to visit Garment District in NY, order a fried egg just so they can ask me if I want it "easy over?", go to the folk art museum, maybe a show if there are any bargain tickets and whatever else turns up along the way! Tracy G
Hi Linzi, You are too funny, "easy over". No phrase book, just watch some American TV. Looking forward to making plans. Tracy
Gator
Linzi, I'm so glad that it worked out. I love the "easy over" egg. Maybe that's why IHOP keeps making my eggs wrong they keep making them "over easy", the yolks are always hard instead of runny.
quiltermidwife
........so do you plan on doing your NY bit before MQX then returning home from there via NY without stopping over?

I don't want a steak that "moos' when I stab it and I don't want any chicken crawling out of the egg...so "Ease Over" is how I would like it then, if that's the term for a VERY HARD YOLK.... Anniquilter
Hey Linzi I always ask for 'Easy Over'. Now I know why my DH always laughs & the eggs are too hard! I also get complimented on my 'cute' English accent. I just tell them I've been practicing a long time! They're going to love your accents! Hope to meet you in person & Tracy G at MQX.
