AHuffman
I finished this for a customer. I used 2 batts- Hobbs 80/20 on the botom and Hobbs Wool on top. Rainbows thread and a Gide variegated on top. Sew Fine in bobbin. Everything is freehand except for the celtic circle pattern that follows around the circular medallion. For that I used the Path Pattern feature of Intelliquilter. I traced the seam line and IQ dropped in the pattern connected and in a perfect circle. WAY COOL! All those pebbles/swirls made my eyes cross after a while but they give the quilt incredible dimensional punch. Just remember to charge extra for the additional thread and time it takes to do something intricate like this. This was the first quilt I did with my new Blissed out Mille. Having Bliss made all those bajillion pebbles soooooo much easier! I'll have more photos up on my blog on Friday. my blog

Neher-in-law5
What a pretty quilt, and the work you did in quilting it. I really liked what the piecer did in the corners and the center. I have made that design in 2008 for my daughter. It is really one to drop the eyeballs on.

AHuffman
Thanks for all the kind words, you guys! Sometimes you quilt in a vacum and you aren't sure if what your doing resonates with other people. Thanks for making me feel validated. My client still hasn't seen this and I know she'll be so excited!
