ffq-lar
I posted a teaser of this one a few days ago in another thread. Here it is finished. For those who asked, the pattern is Shooting Star by Edyta Sitar. It uses two templates and easy piecing to make the flowers--the white spikes are 3-D. The petals end up with all edges finished so it's ready to be appliqued onto the background. The center circle is added last. This is a raffle quilt for a local guild. It's 91"x91" using wool batting and So Fine, BottomLine, and Monolon thread. The quilting choices were made with the final "customer" in mind. Because it will be raffled, I didn't want to do heavy custom so it still could be used as a bed cover or throw. It's soft-looking and feminine--the border has running leaves. Thanks for looking!
