tyquilter
This is a quilt I am making for our bed. Hubby keeps saying the quilt on the bed isn't warm enough. This one is flannel and will be backed in flannel. Hubby should be nice and toasty under this, but I think I am going to roast! Still need to put borders on
LibbyG
That's gorgeous! And yes, I think you will be roasting.
Enchanted Quilting
It is beautiful...a lot of piecing:)
tyquilter
I will never use this pattern again on such a large quilt. I don't know what I was thinking of.
cegates
That is going to be beautiful!!! But of course at my house we would only need the twin size - too many personal summers happening on my side of the bed. Carol

QuiltGuy
Looks great, and I'd be warm...and the DW would likely roast too!
LisaC
It's beautiful and I would love it! I am the one who is always cold at my house; and my poor husband suffers because of me!
CindyT
That's going to be a gorgeous quilt...and WARM! We just switched to our "winter" quilt and I'm already chucking the covers at night and it's not flannel. lol

Quilting Heidi
Beautiful and yes that should keep him toasty. I think I would vaporize! LOL My hubby used to be the one that was hot all the time while I froze. Now we have reversed rolls. Why does it always work that way? You have done a really good job piecing. Sometimes flannel can stretch a lot and some pieces lets say add extra fluff!
delld
It's going to so pretty and very warm!!! Too warm for FLA! Love your colors!!!
Neher-in-law5
What is the batting you are choosing? That would make a difference in my house. I just finished a huge Labyrinth quilt with wool batting. It covers the bed and us as well but is more comfortable than the smaller one with bamboo/cotton batting. Nice work on yours. CrazyAboutQuilting
That is so pretty! And I'm guessing it will be very snuggly too. One of these days I'm going to make a flannel quilt.............in my spare time!
KathyG_Quilts
"Personal Summer" I love it! Been there done that, not doing much anymore... My husband used to say I had "tropical breezes."
tyquilter
Lol!! Also love the phrase "personal summers"! I will be sleeping on too of the flannel quilt because of my "tropical breezes/personal summers".
LindaSteller
Put wool batting in it, and it will breathe nicely. I looks very pretty.
Anniquilter
Yes...beautiful job and love the colors! Definitely use wool - it does regulate temperature much better than other battings and I love that it is not heavy. I have even been impressed with how Quilters Dream wool stands up to laundering - needed thanks to my cat bringing us a bird - after digestion..eewww! Personal summer - love it! My Dr tells me some women never stop having 'personal summers'. Mine's been well over 10 years already! Still want that wool quilt to hand tho' - ice-storm up here in northern Vermont this weekend. chickenscratch
Looks great. I have never used flannel before because it shrinks so bad.
