Mary Beth
I received a message from Kay today, my email is broken and I can receive but not send....frustrating... Michael's x-rays showed a "cloud" over his lungs which made is hard for him to breathe. According to the x-rays the cloud looks a little better, but they are still not sure what caused it. They think it could have been something he breathed in the past. If all goes well, Michael could go home from the hospital on Friday...If the specialist do not make it in to see him, he will spend another weekend eating hospital food, which I don't think is going over well Continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers.... This is from Kay's email... haven't had time to look at APQS Forum until this morning. So many best wished and prayers, no wonder he is getting better. When I talked to Michael he said the same thing. He said "Thank each and everyone of them for their thoughts and prayers. It's working, I am feeling much better and feel all these positive thoughts coming to my way". I would write the thank you note myself but I don't know how to get on it and it is too much effort for Michael to guide me through. So here I am, imposing on you again for an assistance. Thank you, Mary Beth. No problem for me, Kay....

mrsbishwit
Michael & Kay, I am still praying for you both... Out here in AZ we have something out here called "valley fever" it affects the lungs and has something to do with the dry dusty conditions of living in the desert, most people don't even know they have/had it but it can cause scarring in the lungs which is how doctors can tell that an invidual had it. When we moved to AZ over 10 years ago alot of people were talking about it and still every so often it gets mentioned on the news...I wonder if since you were in Vegas (simiular conditions to AZ) that perhaps this might be what is causing the problem with Michael's lungs. Just a thought.

circlelord
Hi, I thank you very much for your concern and prayers. They must have worked. My illness was called an "A-typical lung problem" I felt like I was on a Dr House episode. Doctors, interns, student doctors and specialists asked to hear my story and symptoms. I had 7 chest X-rays, 4 CT scans, an ECG, an Eco-cardiograph, gave blood twice a day and lost 6 lbs. Our only cost was the $5.00 a day parking fee, Kay paid, when visiting. The 3 days I squatted in the ER, waiting for a bed, was interesting. From accidents, drugs, mental illness to elderly waiting for a room. I got better really fast and didn't have the look of pneumonia or other lung diseases. Just "shortness of breath or low blood oxygen". I am almost 100% better and have a new 7 day old beard. Thank you again, Michael and Kay

Kenna
Very glad to hear you are better! This is a very scary thing to go through, and - know you are both relieved. I had something similar in June last year. Tests did not show heart attack, but showed a shadow exactly over the spot where the pain was. Never did figure out what it was but my copay on it was 2500.00. Ykes! I'm thinking it was plueresy. I spent the day in emergency, then the night in the special heart hospital (a whole seperate facility). The next morning it was gone and nothing since. I guess it could have been stress related since my lien deadline was the day it started. Please take care, I too will continue to pray for an all clear report! Quilting Heidi
Michael, I'm glad your lungs are feeling better. I've had 12 collapsed lungs and they are no fun. I can tell you that the ER's get really excited when somebody comes in with lung problems! LOL I only had 2 chest tubes and that was enough to last me a lifetime! Thankfully I've had surgery now and my lung hasn't collapsed in 4 years! If I were you I'd see a thorasic specialist just to make sure the ER didn't miss something.
